Course Objective

In this course; the basic concepts of electricity, DC and AC systems, the electric field and magnetic field theory, AC and DC motors will be given.

1 The basic quantities for DC systems, voltage, current, power, definitions of the capacitance, the inductance and the resistance
2 Connection schemes of R, L and C components and circuit analysis
3 Circuit analysis with node and mesh analysis
4 Circuit analysis
5 Electric field theory, basic definitions
6 Coloumb's law, elekcrostatic field, energy and force
7 The concept of current density and Kirchoff's laws
8 Midterm
9 DC/AC Definitions, AC systems
10 Magnetic field theory, basic definitions
11 Magnetic flux, magnetic voltage and current
12 Faraday's law
13 Transformers and magnetic circuits
14 DC motor, AC motor
15 Second midterm
