Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide the fundamentals and basic methods of analog communication systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the analog communication systems and to perceive the necessity of modulation.
2   To be able to realize the design of transmitter and receiver associated with Single Side Band and Double Side Band Amplitude Modulation.
3   To be able to realize the design of transmitter and receiver associated with Frequency Modulation and Angle Modulation.
4   To be able to compare the performances of the communication systems built by various amplitude and frequency modulations under noise.
5   To be able to analyze the analog communication systems as electrical circuits experimentally

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The teaching method is to explain the subjects to the students face to face. The student to be able to identify the engineering problems explained in the lesson and to be able to solve problems via midterm and final examinations, to be able to report the experimental results associated with theoretical subjects at laboratory and to be able to compare these results constitute the learning method.
