Course Objective

This course aims to introduce the student to practical and systematic design techniques in addition to develop a set of skills such as communication skills, interpersonel skills and working in a group skills.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to solve basic design problems while making responsible decisions,
2   Be able to work effectively with others as a member of a team,
3   Be able to communicate effectively using visual, mathematical and/or language skills in oral and/or written modes,
4   Be able to organize and manage themselves in terms of time/resource allocation, individual responsibilities, interpersonal skills and learning through experience,
5   Be able to demonstrate the understanding of the ethical issues in engineering,
6   Be able to describe fundamentals of economic decision making and cost evaluation,
7   Be able to implement basic project management strategies.
