Course Objective

To calculate the future population of the city by using various estimation methods. To determine the amount of used water to be generated based on the calculation of drinking and potable water by determining the appropriate projection year population. To create sewerage and stormwater network passages in accordance with the topography of the city. To design and dimension the sewerage and stormwater network in a technical and economic manner within the framework of the criteria.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the main components in the design and dimensioning of sewerage and stormwater systems
2   To be able to define the system components in the design of sewerage and storm water systems, to be able to determine the data (such as population, deb, and application data) based on the project design
3   To be able to design the components of sewerage and storm water systems (intermediate and main collector channels, network line, discharge points)
4   To be able to make detailed designs of sewerage and storm water systems (manhole, passage profiles, network) and to be able to interpret alternative designs of network
5   Ability to work effectively in project groups
