Course Objective

To teach fundamental numerical solution methods and to demonstrate applications of these algorithms in environmental engineering problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Uses different numerical solution algorithms.
2   Knows the concepts of numerical approximation and numerical error.
3   Performs numerical differentiation and integration.
4   Solves system of linear equations by making use of matrix solutions.
5   Performs numerical interpolation.
6   Applies numerical techniques in the solutions of environmental engineering problems.
