Course Objective

Analysing the theorical background of public economics (with theorical models) and explaining how the determinants of public economics are used, discussing decision making mechanisims and the effects of these mechanisms on economy, later analysing public economics in Turkish economy and discussing the problems and solutions for these problems in public economics of Turkish economy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analysing externalities in public economics.
2   Analysing production of public goods.
3   Analysing welfare economics.
4   Explaining decision making mechanisms in public economics.
5   Discussing the effects of public economic policies on economy and social structure
6   Discussing the problems and solutions for these problems in public economics both in developing and developed countries in view of global economy.
7   Discussing the problems and solutions for these problems in public economics in Turkish economy.
