Course Objective

The aim of this course is to give information about the theoretical dimension of financial markets, which are indispensable tools of global economies, their historical development, the institutions of financial markets in Türkiye, their structure and functioning together with market types and financial instruments, and to present their position in world markets.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the concept of financial market and to classify its types.
2   To be able to explain money market and capital market transactions with examples
3   To be able to establish the relationship between financial markets and financial institutions
4   To be able to express the development of capital markets
5   To be able to present the capital market, institutions and products in Türkiye
6   To be able to explain the instruments of the international capital market by taking into account the new developments.
