to give comprehensive information on biotechnological processes.In addition, general information about the principles of bio-catalysis and industrial applications.

Course Contents

1 Definitions of the terms of biotechnology Basic concepts: Enzyme, organism, fermentation, etc.
2 Principles of Bio-Catalysis: Enzymatic catalysis Enzyme structure and a catalytic function, the enzyme kinetics
3 Principles of Bio-Catalysis: Microbial catalysis growth of microorganisms and product generation kinetics
4 Cell structure and types of organisms Bacteria, yeast, mold, algae, etc. general information. Intracellular components and functions
5 Bio-reactors and operating types Biyorektör types, operating methods, mix and ventilation
6 Bio-separation Bio-processes, product separation and purification methods
7 Bioprocesses control and instrumentation Bio-processes, pH, The dissolved oxygen, temperature, ORP controls. necessary instrumentation.
8 Chemical processing bioprocesses Organic acids, enzymes, production of butanol, production
9 Bioprocesses in food production acetone- Vinegar, yeast, lactic acid, gluconic acid
10 Fuel production bioprocesses Ethanol, methane, hydrogen gas, production of methanol
11 Environmental Biotechnology: Waste removal bioprocesses Aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment methods
