Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students general information about the definition and history of nanotechnology.
To provide general information about solid-state science and electrical properties of nanostructures; to teach structural and morphological characterization methods and to enable them to carry out interdisciplinary studies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to comprehend the definition of nanotechnology, classification of nanomaterials and historical perspective
2   to understand solid-state science, and conducting, semiconducting and dielectric properties of nanomaterials
3   to get knowledge about the characterization of nanomaterials which produced by using nanotechnological techniques
4   to perform projects with interdisiplanary groups
5   to make presentation about prepared reports
