Course Objective

To give the skill necessary to create, display and analyze spatial data that are used in the solution of complex planning and management problems, to demonstrate examples from different engineering fields that use such data and to teach the use of geographic information system software.

2   Prepares, querries and analyses spatial and non-spatial data
3   Utilizes cartographic, data base and analytical capabilities of GIS
4   Conducts GIS applications in different engineering fields

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Three homeworks will be given to prepare, querry, analyze and evaluate spatial data. Midterm and final exams will be conducted in the computer lab with hands on application.
