Course Objective

- To examine socia-culturel, economic and politic substructure of cities and urbanization phenomena and to know changing definitions.
- To understand the connections of migration-emigration and urbanization- and urban politics.
- To define the urbanization process in Turkey, to know relations between settlement theories and modern settlements.
- To evaluate urbanization movements and urban administration with climate changes and international interaction.
- To do analysis in phenomena of unlawful-developing urbanization in the aspect of spatial and biopower.
- To investigate relations between settlements and human rights, to learn the topics of city safety, urban rights.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To see the relation between sustainable cities and human rights
2   TO know healty cities and examples in Turkey in particular
3   To understand the impacts of changes in administrative strategies on urban structures and their practice areas
4   To know logical settlement policies to know basic supporting ideas of efficiency n services and democratic participation elements
5   To know city safety and crimes committed against city, to develop socal and administrative strategies to eliminate administrative weakness.
