Course Objective

: It is aimed to research media, politics and democracy with their complex structure. The course aims to explore some aspects of both national and international levels. It is aimed to research media where it has become fourth force. It is also aimed to investigate media s impact on the public and international politics

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to understand historical, political, moral impacts which organized relationship between media, politics and democracy
2   Being able to analyse contemporary dangers in media and democracy theories which emerge in democratic and anti-democratic countries
3   Being able to interpret media in historical process and in the context of democracy.
4   Being able to explain the relationship in different cultures and political tendencies of democracy, government and media.
5   Being able to analyses media structure in turkey, government and media interaction and the effects of the existance of democracy.
