Course Objective

It is aimed to analyze social, political and economic processes and evaluate significant politic-economic events and actors during the historical period from 19th century Ottoman Empire when the modernization process started towards 1980s.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to determine basic historical progress in Turkish political life.
2   Being able to create a perspective for current problems of Turkish political life.
3   Being able to explain social and political developments in Türkiye and world.
4   Being able to observe serious actors in Turkish political life.
5   Being able to analyse ideological differences in Türkiye.
