Course Objective

After giving general information about the basic types of employment in the public sector, especially to teach the civil service introduction, basic principles of civil service, contract staff, temporary staff and workers, working conditions and employee rights, in the public sector.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to distinguish the structure of employment in the public sector and the private sector
2   Be able to classify the types of personnel to be employed in the public sector
3   Be able to review legislation governing Public Institutions
4   Be able to specify the main lines of all employee rights and working conditions of civil servants.
5   Be able to examine the differences between the rights of employees in the public sector and the private sector
