Course Objective

The aim of the course is to examine the development of Türkiye as periods of economic history and to relate between Turkish history awereness and practices of the economic life in Türkiye.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the importance and the effects of the economic and social development of communities.
2   To be able to evaluate basics of economic history, values and institutions prior to Republic.
3   To be able to assess formation of the institutions in the Republic period.
4   To be able to analyze the origins of the society with the dominant economic and social relations.
5   To be able to analyze the concept of planning and its applications in Turkish economy.
6   To be able to analyze the functioning of the market economy in Türkiye.
