Course Objective

This course aims to introduce main principles, issues and rules of Turkish Civil Law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   demonstrate understanding of the basic concepts of civil law in order to examine Turkish Civil Code
2   be able to identify the main articles of Turkish Civil Code in order to explain core legal issues
3   be able to use the relevant Code in order to solve legal problems
4   be able to acquire the communication skills to explain legal issues

3 Law of Persons (kinds of persons, real persons, personality, capacity, protection of personality)

6 Family Law (engagement, marriage)
7 General review
8 Family Law (general provision of marriage, matrimonial property regimes)
