Course Objective |
This course provides an introduction to the theories, studies, and empirical findings pertinent to groups. Most work in today s organizations is done by groups. Thus, an objective of this course is to enable students to understand groups in order to make them more efficient. Understanding group behavior is also a key to understanding individual behavior (e.g., why they think, feel and act I the way they do) as groups influence individuals behavior to a significant extent. Therefore, this course also aims to provide an understanding of how groups shape individuals behavior. Ultimately, this course will help students apply the conceptual knowledge pertaining to groups in understanding, interacting with, and improving work groups within organizations. |
