Course Objective

The course aims to introcude learners the economic principles underlying environmental problems and policy remedies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Apply economic principles to environment and natural resource issues.
2   Recognize the role of cost and benefit assessment in environmental and natural resource issues.
3   Identify tools of economic benefit valuation.
4   Identify tools of cost valuation.
5   Use results of benefit and cost valuation for assessing policy measures.
6   Recognize policy tools for environmental and natural resource management.
7   Demonstrate competence in communicating knowledge in environmental issues and policies through professional writing and oral presentation.
