Course Objective

The aim of the course is to explore and discuss the problem of regional economic disparities. Theories of migration, location and regional economic growth will be introduced. Techniques for analyzing aspects of the regional problem will be presented. The course will cover current issues on regional economic policy and development particularly with respect to Türkiye-EU relations.

1. The learner will clearly differenciate the differences of the regional and macroeconomic development by distinguishing the characteristics of each .
2. The learner will present his/her ideas in an organized manner written and orally by preparing a term paper
3. The learner will understand the importance and future prospects of knowledge based economy.
