Course Objective

The aim of the course is to enable students to learn deeper information related to the maritime economics, to make statistical analysis related to the markets, and to read and understand maritime economics related research papers.

1   To understand the factors affecting the development of global maritime trade and to foresee its future situation
2   Understanding the effects of competition and specialization in maritime markets
3   Understanding the factors that influence optimizing ship speed and capacity
4   Making economic evaluations on ship finance and risk issues
5   Improve decision-making skills by using statistical analyzes with data obtained from the market
