Course Objective

The objective of this course is to teach Ottoman Turkish which is an important phase of our language adventure.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will learn to read the texts written in Ottoman Turkish.
2   Will benefit from the sources written in Ottoman Turkish in their research activities.
3   Will be able to chase the history of structures by reading tombstones, legends of mosques and fountains.
4   Will understand what the former people thought and wrote.
5   Will enrich their vocabulary by learning the meanings of many Ottoman Turkish words used in Modern Turkish.
