Course Objective

Looking, from a special perspective, at the interaction between art and religion which are cultural areas of the society, (a) to have information about usage of religious and moral elements in the cinema; (b) to considerate these uses from perspective of religious thought in detail; (c) to contribute to the correct use of religious-moral elements in the cinema.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will see the utilizing of religious and moral elements in the art of cinema.
2   will discover the implicit or explicit religious and moral messages in the movies.
3   will evaluate the positive or negative purposes of using of these messages.
4   will learn the opportunities of using of religious elements, in different perspectives, such as content and visual ones.
5   will understand the importance of the art of cinema in the education of religion.
