Course Objective

The meaning of Contemporary Islamic Thought, interactions with post-modernism in the Islamic world, diversions that occurred sometimes in the name of modernity in the Islamic world, contemporary exegesis movements and the consequences of them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Those who are interested in the subject will see contemporary approaches of the interpretation of the Qur'an more clearly.
2   They will learn the reasons of the different approaches of the Koran in a more concrete way
3   They will be aware of the premises in the contemporary interpretation of the Koran
4   They will criticize the topics better.
5   They will compare the studies done in Turkey with the others.
