Course Objective

To widely and deeply analyze concepts of "social change", "social development" and "progress". To examine social change theories of founder fathers of sociology and to show their relations to religion.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will learn concepts of social change , social development and progress .
2   They will acquire main reasons and determinants behind the social change.
3   They will understand social change theories of founder fathers of sociology.
4   They will discuss the role of religion in social change.
5   They will apply social change theories to Muslims societies in order to evaluate Islam as a social change determinant.
