Course Objective

Having English equivalents of fundamental legal concepts ascertained, improving translation from English to Turkish and by this way, having English legal texts comprehended easily.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to know English equivalents of fundamental legal concepts.
2   To have an ability of comprehending Turkish legal texts and identifying English equivalents of fundamental concepts in these texts.
3   To have a competence of reading Turkish texts about rule of law, democracy, human rights and expressing English equivalents of these fundamental concepts.
4   To be able to clarify English texts about the relations between a state and an individual.
5   To have an ability of making translation of English texts related with fundamental legal concepts in Turkish.
6   To be able to express different kinds of court decisions in English.
