Course Objective

The purpose of the course, the types of ceramics, production stages, distribution areas these ceramics, trade of these, local product which is produced in settlement of Roman domination in the Late Roman period is to teach.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know the production techniques of the Late Roman ceramics
2   Discussing the bibliography of the Late Roman ceramics
3   Understanding the phases of ceramic production during the Late Roman Period
4   Understanding the typology of ceramics during the Late Roman Period
5   Knowing how to use ceramic data produced during the Late Roman Period
6   To understand the chronology of Roman ceramics

1 1-Late Roman cuisine, written sources and material culture associated with the remains. Ceramics of this period which given knowledge about terminology, product center and production techniques, trade.
2 2- Information about Late Roman Red Slip potteries production, species, distribution.
