Course Objective

Learning about plans, structures, facade and styles along with plastic features of buildings and city planning in 4th and 5th century BC, the finest examples of Greek architecture, in Greece mainland and Anatolia.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Assess archaic architecture which paves the way for classical architecture
2   Recognize classical period temples
3   To identify the types of building of the period
4   To define plans and structural details of the buildings of the period
5   Classify the correct terminology for architecture in Archaic period
6   Recognize architectural examples of the period
