Course Objective

This course will provide an introduction to the fundamental properties of liquid crystals and liquid crystal devices.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Has enough knowledge about liquid crystals.
2   Analyzes the molecular structure of a liquid crystal molecule
3   Understands the solid structure of a liquid crystal.
4   Describes the interaction of liquid crystal with light.
5   Describes the behavior of liquid crystal under electric and magnetic fields.
6   Describes the interaction of the liquid crystal with the surface
