Course Objective

To understand American Legal System in its federal structure and to be able to compare Turkish Legal System. Judicial branch is the third power among three powers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn the place of judicial branch in American politics and the sources of American Legal System.
2   To learn the differences of judicial branch in federal structure
3   To learn the differences of State and Federal courts.
4   To learn the function of Supreme Court.
5   To learn the differences of American judicial branch by comparing with Turkish judicial branch
