Course Objective

The aim of this course is to educate individuals who can appreciate intercultural art education understandings and who can comprehend contemporary teaching methods in visual arts and design education, who can audiovisual resources and educational technology and who can prepare a unit plan and daily plan.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know the multi-field visual arts education method and its aims.
2   Know the theoretical foundations of multidisciplinary visual arts education and discipline-based arts education.
3   Applies multidisciplinary visual arts education method in primary and secondary education programs in Turkey.
4   Know and apply art history, art criticism, aesthetics and artistic practice teaching.
5   Know the preparation of a visual arts lesson, the storage of tools and materials to be used, the evaluation of artistic work, the security measures to be taken in visual arts classrooms.
6   Prepare unit plan and daily plan.
