Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable Turkish Language and Literature teacher candidates to have knowledge about Turkish history, culture and literature, to compare and evaluate the historical and cultural transformations of Turks living in different geographies until today through different Turkish peoples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the basic concepts of culture
2   To be able to summarize state and society life in Turks
3   To be able to compare Turkish tribes through religion and belief in the historical process
4   To be able to list the oral and written sources of Turkish history
5   To be able to analyze the interaction of Turks with other nations
6   To be able to evaluate the contribution of Turks to the common civilization of humanity
