Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of theater to prospective teachers of Turkish Language and Literature; the birth of Turkish theater starting from the history of world theater, Turkish Theater in the Republican Era, City Theaters, State Theaters, Turkish Theater after 1980, Contemporary directorial activities and stage information.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The modern Turkish theater, his changes since the Reformation (and especially the dramatic scene in terms of writing) to see
2   General trends in the Republican era and today's Turkish literature, theater, understanding to comprehend.
3   The proclamation of the republic in general, to evaluate the activities of the present Turkish Theatre stage.
4   Learning to apply on the texts of literary theories.
5   In this period, and current trends in the Turkish myth of Turkish artists stories motion determine the positions of the story to analyze
6   Modern and traditional theater plays to demonstrate the links between species, to compare and interpret.

1 Overall assessment of the Republican era of literary activities, scenery and dramatic literature and theater in the theater the other literary genres in terms of authorship correlation
