Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts, theories and theorists of linguistics to prospective Turkish Language and Literature teachers.

1   To have different perspectives about language
2   To explain basic concepts of linguistics
3   To recognize the historical developments in linguistics
4   To be able to explain the relationship between linguistics and other areas of Turkish education
5   To use linguistic theories in language studies
