Course Objective

This course aims to explain to the aimed students the forms of organization of human communities, their characteristics of livelihoods, their interactions with each other, and the cultural heritage they have left, from the emergence of the first civilizations to the present day

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Definition, scope, areas of work, method of social anthropology; relate to everyday life
2   The emergence of early humans and modern humans; the evolution of human livelihoods, kinship systems and social organization
3   Gender; religion, language, individual and culture
4   The birth of civilization, the common and distinctive features of the first civilizations
5   Learn the basic features of Anatolian civilizations

12 The institutionalization of religion and belief
