Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce traditional and new approaches to assessment of classroom learning and the assessment tools used in this context. Moreover the course aims to give practical knowledge on developing and using these assessment tools in assessing student achievement and other learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to recognize traditional and student-oriented assessment tools used in education
2   To be able to explain the characteristics of traditional and student-oriented measurement tools used in education
3   To be able to identify and develop appropriate assessment tools according to the learning-teaching process
4   To be able to explain the factors that should be considered in assessing student achievement and other learning outcomes
5   To be able to give grades in the direction of findings obtained from assessment tools and activities
