Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach key events and developments in Türkish maritime history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain historical progress of the Turkish maritime history
2   To understand the importance of navigation in Turkish history
3   To know naval activities of Turkish tribes before their arrival to Anatolia
4   To know naval activities of the Turkish people in Anatolia
5   To understand the importance of navigation for the Ottoman Empire
