Course Objective

The aim of this course is to recognize students the history, provide them to think about the definitions, aims, importance for society and basic problems in connection with this importance of history and develop a historical perspective.

1   To be able to write different definitions of history
2   To be able to array the aims of history
3   To be able to explain the benefits of history
4   To be able to analyze the effects of the relation between history, historian and society on historiography
5   To be able to discuss the quality of historical knewledge
6   To be able to gain the moral basis and "objectivity" of historiography as a value
7   To be able to interpret the developments in historiography in the World and Türkiye

5 Benefits and value of history for individuals and societies
6 The relation between history, historian and events
7 History, society, individual and historian
