Course Objective

To make the pre school teacher candidates feel the place and importance of children's literature in early childhood education in general terms, to understand the relation between education education and children's literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize the importance of children's literature in early childhood education.
2   Teachers candidates recognizes the types of children's literature
3   Teachers candidates recognizes the poets and writers of children's literature
4   They can benefit from knowledge of children's literature when teaching profession as an active
5   They understand the importance of quality children's books and reading.
6   They become aware of the effect of literary genres and language development of children.
