Course Objective

To have knowledge of experimental techniques that will bring a step in the educational professional life as well as gain the ability to construct simple teaching tools in biology.
To increase self-confidence about laboratories in teacher candidates by developing mental and manual skills of laboratory work in biology education. At the same time to gain the habits of experimentation by providing visuals of the theoretical knowledge of laboratory applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to say the benefits of implementation with simple tools.
2   To be able to explain what tools are needed for making biology course tools.
3   To be able to tell what is required for car making.
4   To be able to make sample experiments for secondary school biology course with simple supplies to be provided.
5   To be able to design alternative experiments related to topics.

Course topics according to learning outcomes will be assessed via midterm, homeworks, and final exams.

Attendence rule is 70% for the lectures and 80% for the laboratory section.
Attemps to cheat may result in disciplinary actions.
The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes may be added to midterm and final grades. Students will be informed at the beginning of the semester.
