Course Objective

To learn basic concepts in genetics; chromosome structure and organization of DNA sequence, gene structure and function, Mendel's law, DNA recombination, new developments in molecular genetics, genetics and evolution, genetics and ethics.

Course topics according to learning outcomes will be assessed via midterm, homeworks, and final exams.

Attendence rule is 70% for the lectures and 80% for the laboratory section.
Attemps to cheat may result in disciplinary actions.
The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes may be added to midterm and final grades. Students will be informed at the beginning of the semester.
