Course Objective

The objective of this course is to help preservice science teachers examine and evaluate the science textbooks in terms of content, visuals, design, and appropriateness to students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Assesses the consistency of content of science texbooks with science education curricula
2   Comprehends the basic principles of science textbook review
3   Evaluates the science textbooks in terms of content, language, and visual design
4   Comprehends the writing, selection and distribution process of science textbooks by the Ministry of Education.

* Attemps to cheat may result in disciplinary actions.
* The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes may be added to midterm and final grades.
