Course Objective

The aim of this course is to remember the normal structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system and to provide the understanding of the etiopathogenesis of the diseases associated with them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the etiopathogenesis of basic neurological diseases, to explain the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment
2   To be able to explain the etiopathogenesis of basic psychiatric diseases, to explain the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment
3   To be able to discuss the pharmacology of drugs related to the nervous system
4   Questioning history for systems and performing physical examination

1 Cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative diseases and tumors of the central nervous system. Diagnosis and treatment approaches
2 Central nervous system infections, balance disorders, hearing loss diagnosis and treatment
3 Psychiatric Diseases, Mood disorders, Depressive disorders, Anxiety disorders, Psychosis
4 Pharmacology of drugs affecting the nervous system
5 Exam week

Assessment Criteria

In the first 3 years, the student success was evaluated on a yearly basis as an annual grade out of 100 points.
The passing point of the period is determined as 60 (sixty).
Average of block-end exams must be at least 50 (fifty) points.
