Course Objective

This course aims to provide students the ability of selection and usage of visual recording devices for the convinient documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define equipments of visual recording devices for the documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork
2   Behave ethically in the visual documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork
3   Select the thechical equipments convinient to the aims for the visual documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork,
4   Use still camera equipments for the documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork,
5   Visual documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork for the purpose of presentation with still camera,
6   Use video recording equipments for the documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Courses
The course are given as theoretical and applicational. Video recording equipments and their applications in the documentation of musical practices and interviews in the fieldwork are introduced in the theoretical courses. Applicational courses consist of application of these equipments by each student under the supervision of lecturer.
2. Assignments
Assignments are given individually and consist of application of visual documentation by students and discussion of the results in the classroom.
3. Review Sessions
Assignments are the basis for these sessions. The problems of visual documentation of students are considered in these sessions.
