Course Objective

To consolidate students' knowledge about grammatical features in the Russian language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Expand knowledge about Russian grammar.
2   2. Use different types of verbs in Russian.
3   3. Use different types of sentences in Russian.
4   4. Communicate in Russian orally and in writing using more complex grammar.
5   5. Enrich their vocabulary for reading Russian literary texts and articles.

Course Contents

1 1. Review. The place and functions of prepositions in the presence of a noun. 11. Prefix -STI, -Ç' for perfective verbs and prefix -AT' for imperfective verbs and their use.
2 2. Expressions formed by the use of some action verbs and nouns. 12. Conjunctions and words used as conjunctions
3 3. Use of Verbs with prefixes. The verb of motion carrying a thing, a person, an animal (NESTI - NOSIT ) 13. General definition of transitive, intransitive and reflexive verbs
4 4. Construction of verb types with prefixes. 14. Review of the material.
5 5. Verbs that do not take on a new meaning when prefix is added. 15. General review
6 6. Verbs that take on a new meaning when prefix is added. 16. Finel exam
7 7. Midterm exam
8 8. Verb formation with suffixes. - Verbs with suffixes IVA/ -EVA.
9 9. Verbs with a prefix or without prefix and verbs with the -VA suffix .
10 10. Verbs with the prefix or without prefix and verbs with -I-, -A- suffixes.
