Course Objective

To teach students to study Turkish/Türkiye issue in Russian literary works and Russian/Russia issue in Turkish literary works, to perform comparative analysis of Russian and Turkish literary works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Know literary works related to Türkiye in Russian literature.
2   2. Know literary works related to Russia in Turkish literature.
3   3. Perform comparative analysis of Russian and Turkish literary works.
4   4. Analyze the interdisciplinary nature of comparative literature.
5   5. Makes comparisons on texts from different cultures from a critical point of view.

3 3. Literary and cultural relations between Russia and Türkiye. 13. Turkish poems translated by F. Iskender.
4 4. Russian editions of literary works of such Turkish writers as Nazım Hikmet, Aziz Nesin, Reşat Nuri Güntekin, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarça. 14. The story My Poplar in a Red Scarf by C. Aytmatov.
