Course Objective

To teach students the Russian sentence structure, sentence types.

1 1. Introduction to Syntax. 11. Definite, indefinite, generalized personal sentences
2 2.Word Groups. 12. Auxiliary parts of the sentence and their charasteristics.
3 3. Sentence and Sentence Structure. 13 Objective complement.
4 4. Principal Parts of the Sentence: the Subject and the Predicate. 14. One-member sentence.
5 5.Simple verbal predicate, Compound verbal predicate, Compound predicate.
6 6. Secondary Parts of the Sentence.
7 7. Midterm exam
8 8. Two-member sentence, Principal parts: the Subject
9 9. Predicate as the principal part of the sentence
10 10. Exercises.
