Course Objective

To teach how to translate a Russian text into Turkish on the basis of translation theories and methods and taking into account the rules of the target language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1 Having a general knowledge of translation methods
2   2 To be able to interpret the grammatical rules of the Russian Language correctly
3   3 To gain the ability to find Turkish equivalents of the proverbs, idioms, etc. of the Russian Language
4   4 To gain the gain knowledge of the translator's role in translation
5   5 To be able to approach critically the works translated from Russian into Turkish.
