Course Objective

It is to raise awareness, to raise awareness, to develop knowledge and attitudes about how violence against women affects women's health and their whole life, with which dynamics, prevention of violence, protection of women, recognition of health consequences and practices in our country and in the world within the scope of relevant national and international legal regulations.
Gender inequality and our sexist prejudices; how it affects individual and community life, especially education and health, and the effects of this specific violence on women's mental health, reproductive health, etc. will be examined.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1: to be able to comprehend that the main reason for violence against women is gender equality.
2   LO2: to be able to comprehend the effects of violence against women on individual and community health
3   LO3: be aware of specific types of violence such as sexual violence
4   LO4: to be able to comprehend the effects of violence against women on mental health
5   LO5: to understand the effects of violence against women on reproductive health
