Course Objective

Sports management concepts, characteristics and features, sports management models, historical development of sport management in Türkiye, examining the existing structure, to be addressed in terms of the management of the universal sports management theory and function.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to learn basic concepts, theories and approaches related to management science
2   To have knowledge about the nature and characteristics of sports management
3   To be able to have information about the management structures and functioning of national and international sports organizations
4   Learning Sports Management models
5   Having knowledge about sports management system in Türkiye

1 Providing detailed information about the "Course Instruction Plan"
2 Explanation of management, manager and leader concepts. Examination of management elements and features.
3 Management structure, explanation of functions and Duties Evaluation of POSDCORB functions
4 Making a general evaluation of management approaches. Examination of Classical and Neoclassical Management Approaches
5 Evaluating contemporary approaches in management Total Quality Management (TQM)
6 The importance and explanation of creating vision, mission and values in management
7 Description of management processes Goal setting and Planning's purpose and role in management
8 Description of management processes Goal determination and the role of planning in management
9 Explanation of Connection processes in Management. The purpose and role of decision making and communication processes in management
10 Sports, Sports Management, Sports Manager, Sport Leadership and Recreation Leadership concepts
11 location of the place and importance of Türkiye in Sport Management in the historical process and institutionalization of sport management
12 Explanation of the relations of Local, National and International Sports Organizations
13 Management of sports programs. Transfer of sample management organizations
