Course Objective

To teach the students, concept of Constitutional Jurisdiction, its organs and types of constitutional review, the preventive dutys, preventive functions for protecting the constitutional balances, constructions and formations, duties and power of fundamental rights and freedoms in comparative law and Constitutional Court in Turkey, the concept of constitutionality complex, working and judgment method of Constitutional Courts, legal conclusions and effects of their decisions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To express the ideal basis of the concept of constitutional review
2   To analyse the construction and formation of constitutional courts
3   To interiorise the function of constitutional courts about preventing the constitutional balances and fundamental rights and freedoms
4   To classify the types of constitutional review and to clarify the duties and power of the constitutional courts
5   To express the legal conclusions, effects and obligatory of decisions of constitutional courts
